Pensyarah Jemputan – Universitas Riau

Dr Ismail Fitry Mohammad Rashedi from the Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Food Science and Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (currently serving as the Head of Laboratory of Halal Services, Halal Products Research Institute) has been invited as a guest lecturer by the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science, Riau University on the 15^th of November 2023.  The title proposed by Head of Department of Fisheries Processing Technology, Dr Sumarto was “Halal Food Technology and Innovation of Seafood-Based Commodity through Teaching Factory Concept and Entrepreneurship towards Competitiveness of Globalisation Era”.

Dr Ismail Fitry covered topics related to the current and advanced technology in seafood processing, halal issues, teaching factory concepts and entrepreneurship, and global issues and challenges. The lecture was delivered for 2 hours to more than 200 lecturers and students followed by the question-and-answer session.  Dr Ismail Fitry also met the dean and faculty members of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science to discuss further collaboration in teaching and research in the future.
