1 November 2023 - The Faculty of Food Science and Technology (FSTM) received a delegation visit from Riau University, Pekanbaru, Indonesia represented by Dr. Sumarto. Their arrival was welcomed by FSTM staff. A briefing about FSTM was delivered by Dr. Ismail Fitry Bin Mohammad Rashedi and Riau University students were very active in the question and answer session during the briefing. The briefing session ended with a speech from Deputy Academic Dean Prof. Associate Dr. Radhiah Shukri and a representative of Riau University, Dr. Sumarto. The briefing ended with the giving of souvenirs.

The delegation from Riau University also took a picture with FSTM before starting the tour session at the next place. They were taken on a tour of the Supercritical Fluid Center (SFC), Juice and Puree Processing Pilot Plant Learning Center Food 8 and the Meat Product Processing Pilot Plant Learning Center in three small groups.

Hopefully this visit and collaboration can provide benefits and a great impact for both UPM and Riau University.
