About Pilot Plant

Pilot Plant under Department of Food Technology, Faculty of Food Science and Technology plays a role to the development of food technology, especially in the field of food processing technology



Pilot plant is a place for students to gain knowledge in which students are exposed to practical training related to food processing technology, apart from that, the pilot plant also serve a place for researchers to expand research and improve their research skills in the field of food processing as well as the physical location for innovation networks between faculty, food manufacturers and also part of efforts to develop technology-based entrepreneurship.

Physical facilities of the pilot plant is equipped with a set of tools to process certain types of food product liquid, semi-condensed, milk products and the canning process which expected to meet the requirements related to the development of the food industry.

Faculty had promoted liquid products such fruit juices  (guava and mango) in campus where its enable Faculty's name to be remembered and recognized.
