OVERVIEW

We are welcoming student from all over the world. Our community in UPM is highly international : our students come from many countries of the world. We have link to every region in the world through our research and students. We provide the world class quality university education for the brightest and best, regardless of background. There are a variety of ways to study at UPM with the supporting of the faculty. The Faculty encourages both local and international students to be part community of the faculty.

On top of which, there are lots of student activities like Cultural Show (where students can represent their own cultural activities) to get involved, Annual Dinner, Forum and Workshop.

Aside from this, the food industry can be considered as one of the most prevail ant around due to its perpetually high demands. "If you are asking me what so special about faculty of food science and technology, then I can proudly answer to you that it is unique. Students here are very harmony among each other and between lecturer and faculty’s management staff. Although the total member is not much comparing to others, our faculty is able to create much achievement. We have several ‘tough’ lecturers, very knowledgeable, very hardworking, and very enthusiastic, who had produced numerous research papers and project patent and collaborated with industries. Graduated student from the faculty are also able to perform extraordinary while working with local or overseas food companies. The faculty has contributed to its nations very obviously. PROGRAMME FOR UNDERGRADUATE
 

The Food Science Department is responsible for the Bachelor of Food Science and Technology program. This program consists of food chemistry, food microbiology, food and nutrition, food processing and preservation and food engineering.

The Foodservice and Management Department is responsible for the Bachelor of Science (Food Studies) programs. The program offered two options namely Food Management and Food Service Administration.
